Well, EA seems to be keeping their tradition up. According to this article, EA's new origin service is following the same trend. Get banned on the forums for using a naughty word, and your origin account will also be affected. I'm kinda surprised (not really) that EA didn't bother to change their policies when they launched Origin. You'd think that they'd want to make their online distribution method as painless as possible, because they're having to compete with Steam, Good Old Games, Gamersgate, et al. for people's money.

That's completely indefensible. I heard one guy got banned because his username was mentioned in a post by another user that also had swearing in it - not sure if it's true, but it'd hardly surprise me at the rate things have been going.
